14/7 (also called 2:1) FIFO roster calendar

14/7 (also called 2:1) here means 14 days on, 7 days off, so a cycle is 14 days on site followed by 7 days at home. That makes the cycle 21 days long, about 17.4 cycles a year, with 67% of days on site. In 2027 the work days come to 239 to 246, depending on where in the cycle you start; set your start date below for your own count.

Some rosters write this as 2:1, meaning 2 weeks on and 1 week off; it is the same 21-day cycle, so use whichever name your roster uses. Some rosters count the travel days inside the 14, some outside; the checkbox below shows the inside version.

The 21-day cycle comes round about 17.4 times a year, which is about 34.8 weeks on site and 17.4 weeks at home. The longest stretch away is 14 days, followed by 7 days at home before the next swing. With travel days switched on, about 35 days a year change from work days to travel days.
