20/8 FIFO roster calendar

20/8 here means 20 days on, 8 days off, so a cycle is 20 days on site followed by 8 days at home. That makes the cycle 28 days long, about 13.0 cycles a year, with 71% of days on site. In 2027 the work days come to 260 to 261, depending on where in the cycle you start; set your start date below for your own count.

A 28-day cycle, so the same weekday comes round every 4 weeks.

Swings of 20 days on and 8 days off repeat about 13.0 times a year, which is about 37.2 weeks away and 14.9 weeks home. The 28-day cycle is 4 weeks, so the same weekday comes round once per cycle. With travel days switched on, about 27 days a year are marked as travel.
